St Mary Magdalene Church, Bolney
The Church dates from about 1100, and an older origin has been suggested. Many structural additions have been made over the centuries—including a tower built solely using the labour of villagers—and at the entrance to the churchyard is a 20th-century lychgate made of local materials including Sussex Marble. English Heritage has listed the church at Grade I for its architectural and historical importance http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mary_Magdalene's_Church,_Bolney Church Website: http://www.stmarymagdalenebolney.org.uk/
