Lychgate, Holy Trinity Church, Cuckfield
One of two Lychgates at the church (both Grade II listed), this one is the more recent, being built in 1911. Churches having a pair of lychgates are rare. The timber structure stands on a base of sandstone. The roof is laid with Horsham stone tiles. The walls alongside the gate, of sandstone ashlar, are included in the listing. The gate also bears a dedication to a parishioner, Laura Maria Bevan, the wife of Richard Alexander Bevan ("the father of Cuckfield").
