Front Meadow/Blackland
The name of the fields according to Cuckfield's 1843 tithe map that have been merged to form a larger unit. Front Meadow was in the foreground adjacent to Deak's Lane whilst Blackland was in the distance further down the slope next to the wood called Beechy Bottom.
