Freek's Lane
Originally an old track which ran across St John's Common towards Freeks Farm, the southern part is now built up and roughly follows the alignment of Mill Road whilst the section north of leylands Road is still unmade to the farm, now called Lowlands and beyond.

Public footpath 45BH, which is unaffected, but as far as Lowlands Farm and land to the west, was used for vehicle access. All has been taken over by housing developers.

Unmade lane serving Freek's Farm and Lowlands Farm. It also carries the footpath from Leylands Road to Isaacs Lane.

Burgess Hill Dump
Sunday afternoon at the local tip! Burgess Hill has a household waste disposal site on the N edge of the town. The site operates a system where different types of refuse are separated. On the left, a pile of scrap metal can be seen. Out of shot are separate areas for paper items and garden rubbish (amongst other types). "General" waste (e.g. old furniture etc) is deposited in the large shed for further sorting by the facilities staff.

BMX Track, Leylands Park, Burgess Hill
Opened in 2014 in an area of parkland north of Maple Drive. A BMX bike club has existed in the town since the mid 1980s. The trees beyond mark the course of Freek's Lane.
