Fittleworth Road, Wisborough Green
Not that near Wisborough, but this road eventually hits the A272 just west of the village. An old fashioned signpost points the way left, down Crimbourne Lane, to Kirdford. I didn't see a possible cause of a diversion on my travels.

Fittleworth Road
Linking the A272 west of Wisborough Green with the A283 at Fittleworth. Beyond the small rise the road becomes Horsebridge Hill.

Footbridge by Crimbourne.
This bridge is substantial as it carries a bridleway too. The woodland is mainly deciduous and the dry weather has kept the muddy bridleway less churned up.
