Comptons Lane, Horsham
This picture of Comptons Lane was taken in 1963 when it was still a lane and there was a small plant nursery a hundred yards behind the camera (where there is now a roundabout). Pollards Drive is the road to the right to be seen behind the trees.

Beech roots
Along this ancient boundary bank are several beeches, but only this one so unashamedly displays its roots. The southern end of footpath 1695 follows this bank, but it shouldn't, as the legal line passes across a field to the right.
