Former Hawthorns School buildings, East Surrey College
Former buildings of the Hawthorns School which was based on this site from 1926 until 1961, when it moved to Pendell Court near Bletchingley (see Image). The buildings then became part of Redhill Technical College (later East Surrey College), which developed the site to expand on and eventually replace its buildings on Redstone Hill in Redhill. From 2008 to 2010 the site was again redeveloped with the 1970 tower and the original Hawthorns buildings being demolished - part of the new building can be seen here under construction.
