River Arun at Wanford Bridge (north)
The river divides and passes under the road at two points here, this is the northern branch which forms a bypass for Wanford Mill on the southern branch. There is a sluice just round the corner, which itself has a bypass culvert, so it is probably no longer used as such.

Wanford Bridges (north), Rudgwick
The Haven Road crosses the Arun by two bridges via a small island in the river. I think this route was chosen as it is less liable to flooding than sites on either side on the island which would have only required the building of a single bridge. The north bridge is marked by modern metal railings with Image visible (just) as a brick wall in the centre of shot.
