Tinsley Lane North meets the railway
Before the railway this carried on to Tinsley Green. The railway severed the route, although there may have been a foot crossing retained. The road was diverted parallel with the railway to the left, to meet what is now Radford Road, which crossed the double track railway by a level crossing. This avoided two level crossings close to each other. The current Radford Road bridge was built when the railway was quadrupled, it is slightly north of the previous level crossing.
