An empty southbound M23
The consequence of a crash at the merging slip road for junction 10 (Crawley). This required the air ambulance to land on the motorway, which partly accounts for the hold up on the northbound side. This was moving slowly.

All the streets in this estate have names with a Saxon theme, presumably because of the nearby Saxon church of St Nicholas (see Image).

A snowy Worth Way
The trail from Three Bridges to East Grinstead deviates off the old railway line whose cutting was filled in by the M23 to take a parallel bridleway for a mile or so.
