Worth Way, Crawley
Here the trail is using the course of the old Three Bridges - East Grinstead railway line, as it does for the majority of its route. Ahead is a crossing over a footpath and cycleway where the old railway bridge was removed, but replaced some good time later with a lightweight bridge.

Bridge over Gatwick Stream
Hereabouts of old was Blackwater Green Forge. The footpath crossing follows the line of the long pond bay, on top of it to the north, below it to the south, not very obvious but evident if you know what you are looking for.

Gatwick Stream at site of Blackwater Green Forge
An iron forge was established here in the late 16th century. Viewed from the bridge on a bridleway that more or less follows the 140 m long old pond bay. The pond, behind the camera, no longer exists and is built on.
