Back garden Slow worm
Found under a black square of rubber deliberately placed to attract slow worms and other reptiles. They are keen on the secure place to warm up, the black material heats up best in the sun. Squares of roofing felt or similar are often found in corners of nature reserves or country parks, placed with similar intent.
