A large and stately oak
On a small green on The Pasture, Pound Hill, Crawley. Its tall mode of growth without much spread is not typical of native oak, yet a cursory look at the leaves indicated it was an oak species.

The end of the Worth Way, Three Bridges, Crawley
A route 100 bus waits at a "traffic calming" chicane at the end of the Worth Way. This trail, which largely follows the old railway line from Three Bridges to East Grinstead, starts its first railway section here, although strictly it actually starts at the railway station, down the road to the right. The old railway crossed the road here (before there was a road) to form a junction with the main Brighton line beyond the fence.

Worth Way, west end
The foot and cycle route mainly follows the former Three Bridges to East Grinstead railway. Here it leaves it to take to the road for the short distance to Three Bridges station, the formal end of the route. The railway continued on for a short distance to its junction with the main line, the road ahead was not there as a proper road then.
