Although there is no public footpath, it is possible to use this curious strip of public access common land as a through route, taking the right fork. Here is it is used as a drive to houses, a sign claims the public access common land is private.

Part of Copthorne Common
Beyond the fence is part of Copthorne Common, which has public access under the CRoW act. The sign on the tree says private property, which it may be, but that would not deny access to this area (if you could get over the fence).
