Woodley shopping precinct
This is on the western side of the precinct, the pedestrianised section of Crockhamwell Road. Woodley has a fairly good range of shops, though, in a sign of the times, the well-known card shop has replaced the butcher's and greengrocer's shops.

This is the pedestrianised northern end of Crockhamwell Road. The town centre retains a decent array of shops, five banks and a building society.

Lytham Road, Woodley
The buildings to the right are on Woodley's drab shopping precinct which is on the parallel Crockhamwell Road. This was previously just a service road, but was reborn as Lytham Road when Crockhamwell Road was pedestrianised.

Former Bejam freezer food store, Crockhamwell Road
The Iceland store in Woodley was formally one for Bejam, more or less the predecessor company to Iceland, when opened within the Crockhamwell Road shopping development (1982-84). The store was opened by HRH Princess Anne on 15/5/84.

A suburban garden in the snow
Woodley is dominated by housing estates, but as may be seen on the most detailed map of the area, the gardens of houses nearer to the main shopping centre, such as this one, are of a good size, unlike some of those belonging to houses on the far newer estates covering the former airfield, which can often be very tiny in comparison.
