Caversham Park
The housing estate sometimes goes by the name Caversham Park Village. It is undeniable that this is a misnomer for this bit of suburbia, and the "Village" is omitted by the Ordnance Survey. The estate has retained plenty of green space and trees and is the northeastern extremity of built-up Reading. The line of houses in the centre of the picture is on Harlech Avenue. We see the houses' front aspects which face the public footpath, not the road.

Caversham Park
Here the red bricks of the housing in the foreground contrast with the beige variety that has been chosen for most of the estate. We are looking across the slight dry valley that runs through the estate. The parked cars are on the eastern part of Queensway.

Peacock butterfly (Inachis io)
Possibly recently emerged as its colours are so bright and it was stationary for a long time, perhaps still drying its wings.
