Now called E. P. Collier School, it is still in use today as evidenced by the sound of happy rioting kids as I walked past.

National/International Friendship Day started here
And doesn't seem to have got much further, although it would be a godsend to the makers of greetings cards if it ever caught on. It is observed on 29th April and was founded by three Nepalis in this house, 124 Caversham Rd. A plaque commemorates the event.

Swansea Road Board School
A close up of the amazing brickwork on the front of the school shown in Image Not only are the letters inset, rather than embossed, but the top triangle panel looks to be carved brickwork, not applied terra cotta. Look closely and you'll see the figures and scrolls are made up of bricks and mortar.
