This memorial is in the north-easternmost tip of this square on the south western side of the intersection. Although the map has the description in the adjacent square, the memorial itself is on a triangle of land in this square.

The Falkland Memorial is on the corner of Essex Street and Andover Road. It is a large obelisk with steps up the sides.
It commemorates those that died in the first battle of Newbury in 1643, and is dedicated specifically to Lucius Cary, 2nd Viscount Falkland.
