The Rising Sun Arts Centre
This striking building in Silver Street is a beautiful example of Victorian brickwork. It was built in 1877 as a temperance hall and is by the architect who designed the Natural History Museum in London.
Having been squatted by a group of artists in the 1990s, it has now become venue for participatory arts projects and performances. See http://www.readinglibraries.org.uk/services/local/simonds.htm
