Marine Gate Mansions, Southport
This is the modern part of Marine Gate Mansions on the corner of Leicester Street and Avondale Road. This modern development is on the site of the Promenade Hospital, the older part of which has been retained and which faces out to sea.

Seagull on a Southport Promenade lamppost
This stylish cast iron lamppost is one of many in Southport and it stands opposite the end of Leicester Street where it meets the Promenade. This one is being used as a temporary perch by a young seagull.
