Hillside station buildings
Hillside station on the Southport-Liverpool line is now painted in Merseyrail colours but still bears the initials L.M.S. on the Liverpool Road frontage. It is the nearest station to Royal Birkdale golf course.

Hillside Station
Hillside station on the Southport to Liverpool electric line was only opened in 1926, following the construction of Liverpool Road and bridge over the railway and the growth of Hillside. The station entrance is on the crest of the bridge; lifts to each platform were only added in 2022.

Beatles train, Hillside Railway Station
Merseyrail unit 508111 is decked out in the special "Beatles Story" livery, which advertises the visitor attraction at the Albert Dock in Liverpool. Viewed whilst stopped at Hillside station, on the way from Hunts Cross to Southport.

Opened in 1926 by the London Midland & Scottish Railway on its line from Liverpool to Southport. View north towards Southport a few months after the lift towers were installed.
