Traffic lights on Wigan Road
Preston Road has just come up a steep hill. The traffic light on the right is especially high to allow traffic coming up the hill more time to see the lights.

Lest We Forget, Euxton War Memorial
This freestanding Portland stone monument is a new memorial dedicated on Sunday 12 July 2015. It honours those killed in all conflicts since 1914. The memorial is situated outside the community centre on Wigan Road.
A plaque attached to the tablet containing the roll of honour reads:
“This memorial is dedicated to all service personnel from Euxton who made the ultimate sacrifice for King, Queen and Country. The memorial was constructed by Sappers from the Corps of Royal Engineers in particular 75 & 36 Engineer Regiment and stone mason Simon Ormsby in the summer of 2015.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”
