Balshaw Lane & Euxton Station
View southward from A581 bridge, towards Wigan (West Coast Main Line), with platforms only on Slow lines. Closed 6/10/69, but replaced by new station, Euxton & Balshaw Lane on 15/12/97, ¼ mile to south.

Euxton Balshaw Lane railway station, Lancashire
Opened in 1905 as 'Balshaw Lane & Euxton' by the London & North Western Railway on the line from Wigan to Preston, this station closed in 1969. It was rebuilt a few metres further south and reopened in 1998.

Euxton Railway Station (Looking North)
Euxton Balshaw Lane Station is a local station on the West Coast Main Line on the stretch between Wigan and Preston. This station was opened in 1998, replacing an earlier one a few metres further north.
