Bamber Bridge Mill
Large cotton spinning mill of 1907. The engine house projects on the left and would have driven the mill by cotton ropes from the engine's flywheel. The engine was a J & E Wood of Bolton horizontal four cylinder triple expansion engine with a 26' flywheel. It drove 127,500 mule spindles and a dynamo. The mill has now been demolished and replaced with houses. One of the new roads is Weaver's Road, which is ironic because it was a spinning mill.

Bamber Bridge Mill
Large cotton spinning mill of 1907. A clos-up of the top of the stair tower. The mill has now been demolished and replaced with houses. One of the new roads is Weaver's Road, which is ironic because it was a spinning mill. The position is approximate and I think this square on view was obtained between houses on a street to the East of the mill. The west facing side was in shadow and I did not photograph that side at all.

A derelict Mill at Bamber Bridge
Formerly home of the Bamber Bridge Spinning Company the mill was opened in 1907. It has remained derelict for a number of years and there are now plans to demolish it and use the land for housing.
