Kathleen Ferrier Birthplace, Blackburn Road, Higher Walton, Preston.
This house is the birthplace of Kathleen Ferrier, opera singer, born 1912, died 1953. There is also a memorial garden alongside the river Darwen, Higher Walton.

Pineapple House, Higher Walton, Preston
House on the corner of Blackburn Road and Gregson Lane. This was originally a public house called the Pineapple. Above the door is a stone lintel with a pineapple cast.
