The waymarker is located outside Milestone Cottage on the north side of the road. Parish of Longton (South Ribble District).

Old Milestone by Liverpool Road, Longton parish
Stone post (plate lost) by the UC road (was A59), in parish of LONGTON (SOUTH RIBBLE District), Grove Avenue junction, by the road, on South side of road. Liverpool plate, erected by the Liverpool & Preston turnpike trust in the 19th century.
