Open space with 'the last loom', Kirkham
Inside the plastic shelter is the last textile loom to work in Kirkham. the first looms ran in about 1846 and this, the last one, stopped in 2003.

Kirkham Leisure Pool
When I was a lad, we use to go here for a bath once a week on a Friday night with lots of hot water, before we had a bathroom installed. Then on a Saturday we would spend all morning swimming here in the pool.
