Corporation Arms, pub sign
The pub sign for the Corporation Arms is that of the City of Preston. The official description of the arms are as follows - The Lamb is the Lamb of St. Wilfrid who is the Patron Saint of Preston. The Corporation Arms, Longridge
The Corporation Arms is a public house situated next to the Spade Mill reservoir. The current public house dates from the 18th century and was previously called 'The Black Bull'. It claims to have a horse trough from which Oliver Cromwell's troops watered their horses en route to the battle of Preston. Refer to picture Image for details of the pub sign.
