Cartford Bridge and Inn, Little Eccleston
The bridge is one of a handful of privately owned toll bridges in England. In 2015 the toll is 40p for a car to cross the River Wyre. There was a ford here before the bridge and the adjacent Cartford Inn is sometimes known as "th' fo'ard". The building goes back to the 17th Century but the inn seems to date from 1839.
