Stocks Bridge carries Roebuck Street across the canal. The original stone arch has been widened on both sides with brick abutments and steel beams.

"Blackpool Road Bridge
Blackpool Road (A5085) was built in the 1920s [SABRE]. It appears that the bridge was originally built with brick abutments and steel beams. The concrete arch was presumably added later to reinforce the bridge."
