Magnolia blossom in Hurst Grange Park
A favourite of many English gardeners, the magnolia tree takes its name from a French botanist, Pierre Magnol. Its natural range is mainly in east and southeast Asia, although some species are found in the Americas.

Leyland Road, Penwortham, as seen from the lane leading to Penwortham Holme
I've zoomed past here a thousands times ...... I can recall getting petrol at that old, derelict petrol station many years back, and that big posh house on the left, well I remember that being built (it took ages !!!!!)
