Victorian water tower, Penwortham
The water tower was built in the late 1800s and is now converted to a dwelling. It is part of a development of semi-detached cottages built for the employees of the local squire (Lawrence Rawstorne).

The Water Tower, Penwortham
This water tower was erected in 1880, to upgrade Penwortham's inadequate water-supply. Part of this building is now used as an estate agent while the rest is a dwelling.
