Booths Bridge and Glovers Court
The red brick building on the left was Booths supermarket and offices, the offices were on both sides of Glovers Court. The building is now occupied by Waterstones the book sellers

This establishment on Cannon Street describes itself as a sports bar 'where sport matters & dedicated to the cause'. It also serves American-style food. For those more interested in the beer than the sport there is a small amount of outdoor seating.

Former Conservative Club, Guildhall Street, Preston
"An Elizabethan fantasy" by Garlick, Park & Sykes, 1877-78. Much timbering (Image]) and a pair of large gables. Grade II listed.
"Founded by traditional Conservatives to distinguish themselves from members of the Conservative Working Men's Clubs" (e.g. Image]). Ironically, both sorts of clubs end up as pubs or bars. This was the Cocktail Factory but that appears to have since closed down.
