I did a number of Tuesday evening clinics here back in the summer on 1990 while locuming for a practice in Kirkham. I was expected to see 30 patients in 60 - 90 minutes. City Church Preston
Originally the building was in use as the Wesleyan Methodist church north road Preston, founded in 1839 It closed before 1960. When this image was taken the building was in use as the City Church and by January 2012 the building had a for sale sign outside.

City Mosque Preston
This grade II listed building https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1207313 was built in 1838 as a Wesleyan Methodist chapel. Additions were made to the building in 1885-6. Around 1955-60 it became a Pentecostal Church run by the Assemblies of God and was known as City Church Preston Image That church has since relocated to premises at Preston North End Football Club and the building has been converted into City Mosque Preston.
