Ryde: West Street Post Office
This post office will close permanently on 4 April 2008 as part of the Post Office's nationwide closure programme. It is actually in Swanmore Road; the office used to be a few doors out-of-picture to the left, which is indeed in West Street.

Victorian lamppost water trough, Ryde
Located on an island between Swanmore Road and West Street. Grade II listed in 1972.
The inscription on the base records that it was presented to the town by Miss Brigstocke in 1888.

Air Ambulance cake stall outside the Falcon pub in Ryde
Viewed across Swanmore Road on October 10th 2015 when home-made cakes are being sold at the bargain price of 50 pence each. All proceeds go to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance service.
