Odd structure by Fort Rd
No idea what this is, possibly connected to the various nearby naval installations and forts.

Strange Tower, Fort Road - Gosport
I am not sure what this strange construction is all about. The inscription reads "CONSTRUCTED BY R.E. MASON BOYS 1929" Perhaps the RE refers to The Royal Engineers. Something like a test piece perhaps. Any information gratefully received.

Mason Boys' Tower
Triangular stone tower on Fort Road by its junction with the road leading to Fort Monckton, built in 1929 by the Royal Engineers Mason Boys (who were stationed nearby) as a practice piece. It originally was a clock tower with a clock on each of its faces but these were removed in c.1961.
