Ford, near Holbeton
Not a ford, but the name of a hamlet about half a mile north of Holbeton village. The stream here is actually crossed by a bridge.

Thatched Cottage at Ford near Holbeton
I'm sure I have seen this view on a buiscuit tin! The idealised vision of an English country cottage - apart from the telegraph pole carrying electricity and phone lines.

Holbeton - South Devon
View from the churchyard. This pretty village has won the Village of the Year award in the past. There's a village hall, a pub with an unusual name (the Mildmay Colours), a primary school and an awful lot of thatched cottages. Mildmay refers to the lord of the manor of previous centuries.
