Marrowbone Slip
This slipway in Sutton Harbour is said to be named so because in the past it would have been the site of butchers, busy with the job of provisioning the Navy in the eighteenth century. The old bones were simply thrown into the drink. The white bollard gives lots of information and there are several such around the harbour.
