This building was opened in 1897 as the John Passmore Edwards Bodmin Free Library, one of the many buildings in Cornwall endowed by the Victorian philanthropist. It has suffered many structural problems in the past and judging by the scaffolding still does.

Origin of the name 'Finn VC Estate', Bodmin
