One of two crosses in the churchyard, this is a fairly plain crosshead mounted on a tall and slender standing stone. See also Image

Ancient stone cross in Cardinham churchyard
One of two early crosses in the churchyard, this one is a fine 10th century wheel-headed cross and is the most southerly example of Scandinavian style ring-chain ornament. See Image for the other cross, which is just by the gate in the background of the photo.
