St Austell Motorail Terminal
I am unsure whether the Motorail terminal adjacent to the railway station has been redeveloped in the last 31 years. Shunting loco 08840 was stabled on a sleepy July Sunday in 1974

St Austell Railway Station
The bus in front of the station building is a direct link to the Eden Project. This is also the St Austell bus station with services to surrounding villages. The station building is a new structure which is not much of an improvement on the previous one.

Old covered footbridge, St Austell railway station
The rest of the station is receiving a re-vamp at present, but it has been going on for a long time. This old footbridge no doubt stretches back to the age of steam, or at least the end of it. Its style reminds us of the great network that used to reach every part of the British Isles.
