Well House on the right is medieval merchant's house, refronted in the 19C; see Image Beyond it is a pair of 17C houses, timber-framed and jetted out over the street; see Image On the left only the sign of the Old Quay House Hotel is visible; see Streetview - in May 2018 the hotel had a smart new sign.

Fore Street, Fowey, 1968
Chain stores visible here are W. H. Smith on the left and Boots on the right. Smith's have deserted, Boots remain. Tobacconist's signs are on both sides of the road. These have now gone. The near stone building on the right appears to house the local offices of Graham and Graham, solicitors.
