Soldiers memorial - Princetown churchyard
The memorial, which is difficult to read, is to three valiant soldiers of the 7th Royal Fusiliers who never returned to duty at Dartmoor prison having lost their lives in a snowdrift up on the moor. They were all in their early twenties. This happened on 12 February 1833. Flowers are still placed near the stone.

St Michael and All Angels Church, Princetown
The church was built of local granite in 1813 by French Napoleonic prisoners of war and completed by American prisoners of war after America had sided with the French. The building was opened in 1814.
