The Eliot Arms, Tregadillett
This fine pub, conveniently placed just off the A30, was formerly known as the Square and Compass. The old name still appears in smaller letters on the nearer signboard (on the facing wall), but it must be admitted that that signboard could do with a touch of paint!

Eliot Arms, Tregadillett
According to http://www.cornwallsfinest.co.uk/ShowDetails.asp?id=755 , the C14 building was a coaching inn in the C17 known as the Square and Compass. Having been a blacksmith's for a while it was restored in 1840 as the Eliot Arms, and now seems to have both names.
