The main gateway to Raglan Barracks
Entrance gateway with flanking guard houses to former barracks - one of the most impressive barracks entrances and guard houses in England, forming the opening into the parade square. Raglan was a large barracks for 2,000 men in transit through Devonport. Built 1853-56 and Grade II Listed. Apparently disused at present.

Gateway, Military Road, Plymouth
Built in 1853-55 by Captain Francis Fowke, it once introduced Raglan Barracks (otherwise demolished in the 1970s). Grade II listed. Now it does nothing except slowly moulder while enhancing its environs.
