Liskeard Station
A steep walk up to the road level is also rewarded by the presence of a modern ticket office with refreshments, etc, at the top. Sharp shadows in straight lines divide the rising path. The presence of Nature is palpable on each side, ready to take over whenever mankind gives it the opportunity.

Bench, Liskeard Railway Station
The bench looks inviting, but there is a very cold wind along the platform and passengers are sheltering elsewhere. Nonetheless, its appeal persists, perhaps because of the contrast between its simple design and the mass of intertwined cotoneaster (?) shrubbery surrounding it.

Railway bridges, Liskeard Station
The line leads out of Cornwall to the east. The stone bridge casts heavy shadows in the bright March afternoon sunshine.

The Old Stag, Liskeard
Or, in Cornish, Tavernan-carow, which is the name under which it is listed https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1203195 . "This building is an interesting and externally complete example of a public house built to cater for the trade provided by the Cornwall Railway passengers". An almost identical view to http://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=61874593 ; we were all struck by the site of the pub as we left the station, I imagine.
