Charles MacIntosh - The "Perthshire Naturalist"
His memorial stone in Little Dunkeld Kirkyard. Charles MacIntosh of Inver [1839-1922] was the local postman and, more importantly, an excellent naturalist and mentor to Beatrix Potter. He was particularly interested in fungi and encouraged her to study them; as a result she became a very competent mycologist, before moving on to become well known as a children's author.
