Election posters, Mallaig
Andy Whiteman was an independent candidate with a long record of land reform campaigning. Having left the Green Party where he was a list MSP for Lothian he failed to get elected the Thursday after this was taken. Posters on lampposts are outlawed now by most local authorities but still permitted by the Highland Council.
