Hauled out boats at Arisaig
There were a huge number of boats moored in Loch nan Ceall, but even more waiting for their sailing season to start, hauled out along the road to the jetty in Arisaig. The village was busy with tourists (this being Easter Sunday) with the Crofters Rest (in the background) struggling to feed them all. We got a seat outside, and the crowd started to thin out just as the first of the evening's heavy showers arrived, so we ran inside. The heron in the bay was having a less crowded meal time, successfully catching crabs among the sea weed. They looked quite hard to swallow, all pointy corners and struggling to escape, but the heron seemed to have no real trouble.
