Loch Uanagan lies beside the A82 south of Fort Augustus. The road is concealed by trees at the foot of the wooded slope; a rail route ran there too.

Torr a' Choiltreich / Great Glen Project Station J Flush Bracket 10694
The Great Glen Project was a geological study of the crustal movement across the Great Glen. Around 15 pillars, both Hotine and Vanessa, were constructed. The pillars have flush brackets, but are not shown on OS maps.

Trig point and summit area of Torr a? Choiltreich
Torr a’ Choiltreich is low hill in the Great Glen south of Fort Augustus; its summit area seen here is grassy with bracken and a few scattered rocks; there's also a wooden cross out of view. Creag Ard Achaidh is the heather covered hill in the distance.
